The 6 photos on the bottom of the page were taken at a place we call "Baker Mountain," near Romney, WV where Susie and Charlie Baker have a campground set up. We went there to look at the water quality of the ponds, because there's some idea for stocking fish there. It was a comfortable weekend, in that there was no hiking to do, but it was pretty warm and sticky out during the day. There were tons of insects, as you can see, and Mickey's and my other "pastime:" roadkill. We got some good'uns, huh? While I also took pictures of the goings-on, I didn't scan any. Willie did, however, and he sent them to me (right and left). He also sent a picture of me and Spiegler from a 1998 Christmas party at his house. I put it here because I have nowhere else to put it. In case you were wondering, the butterfly captured on film from "Baker Mountain" is the Great Spangled Fritillary (Speyeria cybele). Thanks to Paul Spiegler and Will So for the ID assistance.
